OH MY WORD!!!! FOOD IS AMAZING!!!!!! The best sliders we have ever had, it’s a 10/10, there isn’t a lot of space to sit…… but it’s worth it! We visit Durango a lot and this is the best food we have ever had around here - crazy - I know! Go! I didn’t have a pic bc it was all gone!

This is a great little dive bar just 2 minutes from purgatory. They have a good selection of beer. For food they have Backcountry gourmet food truck. Now these guys have like three of these food trucks up here in The Durango area. They make really good sliders and french fries. Not a huge selection but what they do offer is done very well. Great atmosphere and they have live music occasionally. Definitely a great option if you don't want pizza from the old school house and you are staying at purg.
Like a little shack in the woods with unbelievably incredible food. Love this place! Went tonight but already planning to return Friday. It's truly a hidden gem! Example: wonderful green salad with beets and a lemon vinaigrette with slices of 100% grass-fed filet mignon which was super delicious. My husband had the filet mignon slider with garlic fries which I couldn't help but steal his fries. It was really good and a very quaint ski chalet feel. Seriously worth the stop.
A low-key bar we stopped at for a quick bite after exploring Purgatory Resort in Durango, Colorado. We ordered Bacon Cheese Burger Slider and Fillet Mignon Slider. It was so good, however my Spicy Cajun Fries were a little bit too salty for my palate. It appeared as if they were under staff on the day we're there. I know customers are expected to clean after themselves but we have to clean our tables and put away whatever previous customers left behind.
If Smurfs or Fraggles were real....they would all be hanging out at this place because it for real, is the end of the rainbow!!!! The Nugget Mountain Bar is one of the finest establishments in all the land. The ownership is probably the classiest human beings I know who will bend over backwards to make sure that your experience there is memorable. I LOVE THE APPAREL!!! They have super creative merch & and an eye for authentic apparel. But you don't just get to wet your whistle here, you have access to some of the most GOURMET SLIDERS on the planet. My family and I love getting grub here when we're chillin at the condo at Purg. The Nugget is truly the diamond in the Colorado rough. Go out of your way to stop at this enchanting space. We stopped at this amazing place for lunch and we were so happy with the service the atmosphere and the food. The crab cake sliders were amazing. We met a local named Tim who has the best advice you could ever want to live on a mountain.
Absolutely love the Nugget! We come here often, summer and winter, the menu is consistent, and the food is tasty! The beer is what you want to come for! All summer long there is live music, fire pit is roaring on cold nights, great spot! If your driving to Subversion, this joint is your halfway point, and worth the stop!
